Description

Located on the border of the Yvelines region, an hour from Paris, the neoclassical château was built in 1772 by Jacques-Denis Antoine, architect of the Hôtel des Monnaies and the Palais de Justice in Paris. Its gardens and buildings were thoroughly exotic attractions, where boldness and stupefaction held sway. Plant species from all over the world stood side by side with classical and antique-inspired statues, astonishing visitors with every step. Today, Châteauform' keeps this vision alive by welcoming participants to a sumptuous neoclassical castle that is home to ancestral and contemporary curiosities from all over the world, each style complementing the next, like a poetic echo creating an original dialogue that anchors the castle in its era. A resonance of mankind's primitive art and culture in today's world, an invitation to escape, to look at oneself and the world differently.Read more
